MAGNITUDE	:	6.9 Mw
LOCALITY	:	Hokkaido, Japan

No reports of damage or casualties have been received.

A tsunami warning was issued for the region as an earthquake of this size has the potential to generate a tsunami that can strike coastlines in the area. However, this was later cancelled.
