LAT/LONG : 31.06? South / 177.03? West
DEPTH : 33 km
MAGNITUDE : 7.0 Mw
LOCALITY : Kermadec Islands Region, New Zealand
COMMENTS : Approximately 1,300km NE of Wellington and 1,000km NE of Auckland, New Zealand.
No reports of damage or casualties have been received at this time and based on historical earthquake and tsunami data NO destructive tsunami warning has been issued. However, there is the possibility of a local tsunami that could affect coastal areas close to the epicentre. Authorities in the epicentral region should be made aware of this possibility (Source: Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre)
