Data Report
Event / Alaska
Contributed by USGS
Correction to TAPS data for the 20021103 22:12 UTC, Mw 7.9 Denali Fault,
Alaska earthquake (lat 63.517, lon -147.525)
and for the 20021023 1127 UTC, Mw 6.7 Nenana Mtn, Alaska earthquake (lon
63.626, lat -148.016).
It has come to our attention that there was an error in the sensor filter
parameters specified in the original
header comments supplied to the USGS for the Alyeska TAPS data (the
original comment were copied
into the headers of the files previously released by NSMP). The high-pass
corner of the sensor was
incorrectly indicated as being 3 db at 0.01 Hz, but it should be 3 db at
0.1 Hz. We are in the process of
correcting the headers of the data files and will send a notice when these
revised data files are available.
Regards,
Kent Fogleman
