Ray, below is our modest contribution for August.

In addition I have a speculative enquiry .. do you
ever take 'interns'?  Our undergraduate programs have
just introduced an optional 'industrial year out'
and one of the BSc Geological Sciences students has
asked if she might have a placement at the ISC.

(This was directly after a class I taught them on 
location & magnitudes - my 'advertising' for you
must have been OK!)

She's seeing me tomorrow to pass on details of
CV, what our end of the scheme has to involve,
and so on - from recollection she has a good 
grade in A-Level Physics, though not maths. 
She was on our 'elite' 4-year "North America"
BSc (year 3 spent at UCLA, Davis, UCSB, Penn
State, Queen's Ontario, or Colorado School
of Mines) but prefers to stay in the UK.  She
lives in Berkshire.

Anyway - look forward to hearing from you, even
