       This earthquake, with a magnitude of 2.3 ML, locates approximately 12km SW   C3
       of Caernarfon, Gwynedd and 10km north of the magnitude 5.4 Lleyn Peninsula   C3
       earthquake which occurred on 26 July 1984 and was felt throughout Wales and  C3
       England. 

      The estimated area over which an earthquake with a magnitude C3 of 2.3 and a depth of 13km would be felt was calculated to be a distance of C3 up to 30km from the epicentre. Analysis of the results from an automatic C3 online questionnaire survey agreed with this. So far, some 100 felt reports C3 have been received. Of those, the majority came from populated areas up to C3 30km NE of the epicentre, particularly from the towns of Caernarfon, Bangor C3 and surrounding hamlets. Around a dozen reports were received from beyond C3 this area with the furthest being from Abersoch (28km to the SSW) and C3 Harlech (34km to the SE).
