       Felt throughout the region.  Most reports are from towns, villages and       C3
       hamlets in the counties of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire   C3
       with the majority from within around 25 km of the earthquake location.       C3
       Typical reports described, "the house had one dramatic shake", "all the      C3
       windows rattled", "there was a heavy vibration", "felt like the whole house  C3
       was shaking" and "it was like a large explosion".

      There is relatively C3 little significant historical seismicity in this locality. An earthquake C3 with a magnitude of 2.0 was recorded near Dunstable in 2010 and an event C3 with a magnitude 2.2 occurred near Brackley, 30 km west of Leighton Buzzard, C3 on 4 April 2020. Neither of these were felt. The closest event with a C3 similar magnitude, 3.4, was near Oxford in 1764. It was also widely felt. C3 More recently there was a magnitude 2.9 near Oxford in 1986.
