Description: | The Seismology Department does theorist and experimental research in order to understand the nature of the seisms and their origin. The main research areas include seismotectonic, lithosphere's deformation and structure, strong movements, seismic hazard, seismic response of soil and structures, and seismology in porous environments. The department projects have an important connection with the productive sector and try to solve seismic hazard problems. The M.Sc. and Ph.D. students collaborate in the department's research projects and contribute, with their thesis and other publications, to the knowledge diffusion. |
