Description: | The main goal is fundamental and applied scientific researches in the field of problems of seismology and geophysics, as well as continuous seismic monitoring of Kamchatka and the Far East of the Russia. Main activities are:complex seismological, geophysical, geodynamic and other observations based on stationary and temporal seismic networks and geophysical observation points; interregional and international exchange of geophysical information; participation in international seismological projects and in the world system of seismic observations; analysis and processing of data with urgent notification of authorities and emergency servicies about earthquakes (including tsunamigenic), volcanic eruptions and other dangerous natural phenomena and their possible consequences; scientific research in the field of seismology and geophysics; development and improvement of seismological, geophysical and geodynamic observations; creation of databases of seismological, geophysical and geodynamic observations to support research carried out by other research organizations; The Kamchatka Regional Seismic Network consists of 79 observation points equipped with communication channels with real-time data transmission. Seismic Equipment: velocimeters: CM3 (broadband, high-frequency) CMG3TB, CMG6 (T, TD), TC120-SV1, STS2, STS1, KS2000 accelerometers CMG5 (T, TD), GMSplus, FBA-23 |
