Description: | The University of Patras, Seismological Laboratory (UPSL), was established in 1990. It belongs to the Department of Geology, Sector of Applied Geology and Geophysics. UPSL is monitoring the seismicity in western Greece and is part of the Hellenic Unified Seismic Network. The permanent seismic network (PSLNET) consists of 21 broadband stations. Facilities include portable seismographs,geophysical prospecting instruments and a computer centre. The main research activities of UPSL, are:
